Elaine Lin holds a master’s (M.M.) and bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in classical piano performance from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she studied with Inna Faliks. She also received guidance from other piano mentors at UCLA, such as James Lent, David Kaplan, and Inga Kapouler. Throughout her career, Elaine has participated in masterclasses and lessons with renowned pianists around the world including Ursula Oppens, James Giles, Awadagin Pratt, Chun Chieh Yen, Stephen Pierce, Hyo Sun Lim, Wei Lung Li, Angela Cholakian, and Stephen Prutsman. Elaine has a repertoire that encompasses a diverse range of solo and collaborative works, and her recent performances featured Beethoven, Liszt, R. Schumann, Albéniz, Messiaen, and Ligeti. She has also made contributions to the chamber music scene, performing the Brahms Horn Trio, Poulenc Sextet, and works by living composers Billy Childs and John Steinmetz. 
After completing her M.M., Elaine has returned to the Bay Area to continue teaching and give back to the musical community where she grew up and took piano lessons. Her pre-college teachers include Jed Galant and Larisa Kagan. With her extensive playing and teaching experience, Elaine is fully committed to helping her students achieve their musical goals.

Elaine has been involved in various events and volunteer opportunities throughout her piano career. She was a pianist for A Little Day Brunch in Los Angeles, an event celebrating women from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and professions. Additionally, Elaine has performed for patients at hospitals and senior citizens in assisted living centers around the Bay Area. She has also played in benefit concerts to fundraise and raise awareness for community organizations.
